Contribute to the future of Stilbaai and its immediate surroundings by joining the Stilbaai Community Forum (SCF). The forum strives to hear all residents' needs and thoughts about the town and to bring them together in discussions with the municipality to make the best use of service delivery.
Why should you join the Stilbaai Community Forum?
-
Vested interests in what the future holds: A rapidly growing town poses many challenges and budgets remain limited. Become part of the conversation and make sure the right issues are addressed. Articulate your needs and interests so that the local government and businesses are properly aware of them.
-
Participation is important: The SCF covers a wide spectrum of topics – from water to sewage, town planning, waste management and the conservation of the coastline. Join and share your knowledge and experience with the forum's committee members who manage the respective portfolios. This will give the Forum an opportunity to ask members assistance when we need specialised skills.
-
Relations: The SCF has strong ties with the Stilbaai Business Forum and Hessequa Municipality’s board members. Working with them brings about a united front that drives service delivery to the best.
-
Non-political, non-racial, and non-religious: The SCF is an unbiased and transparent body and focuses solely on community interests.
-
Affordable membership: For only R100 per year per household you get regular news and access to the latest and most important events affecting Stilbaai. Your contribution and involvement ultimately makes a big difference to the future of Stilbaai and its residents.
-
Feedback: We endeavour to give regular feedback (quarterly) on issues raised, progress made and matters we are working on.
-
Assistance: Opportunity for the Forum to ask members to contribute to projects that the Forum initiates. This may be physical (part of a working group), planning, investigative/research, financial etc.
-
Awareness: By being a member but residing away from Stilbaai, you will have an opportunity to be more aware of issues, activities, initiatives taking place within the community through the newsletters and documentation on the Forum's website.
-
Collaboration: We endeavour to collaborate with other organisations within Stilbaai to ensure we have a stronger voice with the municipality and also to ensure we don't duplicate initiatives and issues with the Hessequa Municipality.
